Ahiman Consulting and Research has taken the lead in minority community based participatory research programs within the State of Illinois. We are the research leader in empowering minority communities to better understand how research and evaluation play an important role in sustaining healthy communities. We have implemented community forums and focus groups that address the following health disparities:
Ahiman Consulting and Research is where evaluation and research meet the community to engage them in ways that are culturally competent for the betterment of all who are involved. We are trained experts in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and have worked extensively in federal programs involving health disparities in many different racial and risk groups. We have worked on the national level with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, SAMHSA, and HRSA. Our expertise has also been used to monitor and evaluate AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) activities in Illinois. We are the evaluator on all HIV/AIDS Programming for the Illinois Department of Public Health Center for Minority Health Services. Our staff is multicultural and represents the communities we target with our research and evaluation expertise.
